A Bit About Me
My name is Dave Johnston. I’m a producer, performer, songwriter, and mixing engineer. My musical journey has been diverse, spanning genres from the raw energy of rock with my band Villainy, the infectiousness of dance-pop in the production duo Delivery Boyz, through to the intricate world of electronic music and indie-pop with my solo artist-producer project n1ghtmar3cat, which is the focus of this writing. With Villainy, I've performed on stages of all sizes, from intimate pub shows to stadiums. Beyond my artist projects, I collaborate with other artists as a freelance songwriter, mixing engineer, producer, and remixer (PHNX, Dead Favours, MISSY, Yoko-Zuna). All these experiences have given me a broad perspective of the music industry and what it means to be creative.
